Real Democracy:

Every person deserves a say in the decisions that shape their lives. We must support the Constitution and the balance of power. Government must serve the interests of all people—not just the wealthy and well-connected.

Inclusion and Respect:
Those who’ve been ignored or pushed aside deserve to be heard the most. Every voice counts, especially the ones too often left out of the conversation. We support smart ideas that improve life for working families—not just the wealthy.

Fair Laws and Leadership:
Leaders must be held accountable. They are not above the law and must answer to the people they were elected to serve.

OUR MISSION

The Longboat Key Democratic Club is an activist Club that works protect Democracy and to elect candidates locally, statewide and nationally. We take positions and activate voters on issues that matter to our country. We present a successful luncheon series featuring prominent thinkers, activists and policy makers. We aspire to be the leading forum in Southwest Florida for high profile thinkers and policy makers to share their ideas with an influential audience.

Working Together:
Partnering with organizations including local political ones that are actively working to shape a better future for our community directly strengthens our impact and extends the reach of the club.

Learning and Action:
When people understand what’s going on, they’re more likely to get involved and make change happen.

Truth Matters:
We speak up against lies and false information. Facts should guide decisions.
