The Supervisor of Elections offices in both Sarasota and Manatee counties provide comprehensive information for those who want to register.
If you voted by mail in the 2024 general election, please be aware that your registrations expired as of December 31, 2024. Under Florida law, no voter in Florida was automatically re-enrolled for the coming general election scheduled for November 3, 2026.
Note: the 2026 Florida primaries will take place on August 18th.
So get ready to vote by reinstating your VBM status without delay. Remember that being a mail voter does not prevent you from showing up to vote in person. It's like insurance.
VBM voters are among the most reliable participants in our elections. And with the crucial Sarasota County School Board primary election taking August 18, it is especially important to make a plan now.
.
If you are not currently signed up for VBM, you can use the resources outlined below to do so.
Note: Vote-by-Mail ballots are NOT forwarded by the Postal Service.
If you will be away from Sarasota/Manatee on August 18, please sign up for VBM and ensure that your ballot is mailed to your summer address.
If you have already register for VBM and you will be away, you will want to verify that your ballot is mailed to your summer address.
